The Lillington Mural

Lillington Mural

This beautiful piece of public art was created by the members of Lillington Youth Centre. It depicts many features of Lillington in a landscape which alludes to the hills and green open spaces of the area. They took their inspiration from painter LS Lowry, and plenty of Lowry-esque figures are visible, including the vicar and curate! They photographed buildings around Lillington, and chose the subjects they liked. The mural was installed in Crown Way Precinct in early April 2011.
